Service Learning Trip to Karimun
|
|
I went on a service learning trip to Karimun, Indonesia with 23 students and 3 other teachers.
A fun experiental learning trip for me. I hope to join the next group going again.
To Prasanth: I can't upload all the photos yet. Too many. So far only managed the first day ones. Mount Jantan's and other photos have to wait, can? Perhaps you can work on your presentation slides first?

A shock when we got down the bus..... we weren't expecting to face such tough challenges. Our spirits crashed when we saw the other teams in their jerseys and doing their warmups. We thought we'll be just competiting against other schools, but it turned out otherwise. We knew our last minute 1 week long preparation wasn't enough for today.
But nonetheless, giving up is not an option. We were not there for the trophy but to have fun.
whatever it is, all the practice did not go to a waste. We had strengthen our bond and I suppose now we have learnt more about the rules of the game?!

Teachers' Day Dineer was held at Changi SAF Yatch Club. The theme was Hawaiian. Had a great time, great company and nice ambience.

Racial Harmony Day
|

It was a fun and pretty day.... with everyone looking nice in colours. I love to see the joy in the children's faces as they play together in their pretty clothes. Indeed the spirit of racial harmony must be inculcated from young.... and school is a very good start.
And I love what I wore that day too! haha

Batik Workshop
|
|
Went for a batik workshop in school and I enjoyed it tremendously. Even volunteered to stay back a few extra hours to complete another piece on my own. Wishing that I have the materials at home and I can definitely just sit there and spend hours doing more.....
Well I may not be that good at it yet but hey I'm sure I can improve with more practice.
